about

This is a cover of a song by the UK post-punk band bent cousin. Pat and his twin sister Amelia sent me this song to see if I would be interested. At first I thought it was a little sad but really it describes some of the way life works.

lyrics

I keep on waiting
for something special to happen to me
When did I start
to expect, when did this feelin begin

When I was a child
Things were all set out
Now I have to see...
I will never be what I wanted to be
And I will never see what I want to see

Mat's got time for jesus
It's where he wants to be
Mat's got time for Spike Lee
But Mike Leigh, he won't see

(Repeat bridge and chorus).
