about

A love song by my friends Pat and Amelia of bentcousin from the UK.

Any proceeds or tips from this song will benefit the good work of the Huntington's Disease program at the University of Connecticut Health Center where my wife Kathy gets treatment and I get support. UConn is doing stem cell research and helping patients and families like ours. Huntington’s Disease is the genetic disease that took the life of Woody Guthrie. It is neurodegenerative disorder that causes problems with emotional control, memory and movement, and eventually leads to death.

Kangaroo

Can I, say this to you
Baby, you’re my kangaroo
In the morning
When the drunks are snoring
Darling, you’re my kangaroo

Sometimes, I want to hug the ground
Sometimes, I want to jump around
In the evening
When the drunks are brawling
Darling, you’re my kangaroo

When i met you by the fountain
wearing a puzzled grin
I pushed you on the swing
Oo, how my heart sang
When you met me from the train
You shouted out my name
It made the people stare
We didn’t give a care

Can I, say this to you
Baby, you’re my kangaroo
In the morning
When the drunks are brawling
Darling, you’re my kangaroo
